That didn't go down quite as bad as I was expecting.

The interesting thing in the beginning, to me anyway, is that there was definitely an "alien" feel to the aliens, who sometimes to end up as funny looking humans in a lot of fiction. With Lally, it's a definitive human take. You can infer his motivations very clearly.

Next chapter should be particularly interesting on Lily's reaction and how it skews - how his actions are justified in his thinking.

Or... probably I'm just overthinking all this.

Nothing so far has indicated that this manga has unreliable narrators. I can see your point however.

And I really like Kitami's sister, she's ruthless but smart too. Usually they make these chicks be evil bimbos. She turned out being the opposite of everything I expected

the plot twist is gonna be the alien has the pop idol, who was the bbff of kitami's sisters in this flashback, in the sack and tortured her to get all the info
