Copycats appear until the 'genre' become cliche.
Someone make a new thing to break the mold that get popular.
Repeat.

I always welcome the "deconstruction phase" of any subgenre to be honest, even if I don't mind the trope itself, no matter how overplayed. But obviously things can go a little stale after a few dozen titles that follow the exact same premise.

GDI I read this comic for the laughs but this chapter gives me feels, man. . . All members of the party realizes they're being mean but also realize they're holding their friend back. And they're concerned about the mental state of their leader for having to sever the friendship connection. . . That's such a good party I wish them success.
