Bruh, so like, he's not a part of Chris's nation just cause they're friends who had sex, so it's not really an enemy nation to him. Secondly, Chris, Cecily and the imperial scouts were all good to him, so why would he give priority to one of them and try to screw over the others? Thirdly, there's pretty much nothing he can do to stop them even if he wanted to and the only thing he'd gain is to make enemies out of them. Fourthly, since the imperial scouts were so nice and friendly, and given that the survey team has basically nothing to gain from killing him since all he does is provide them with great food and shelter, he has no reason to believe that they'd kill him. And even if they did try to take the golems from him, if he didn't resist there wouldn't be any reason for them to hurt him. There is indeed a very real possibility that he'll be raped, but... Hey, the best protection against rape is to consent to everything!
