Besides, unless repairing is somehow vastly cheaper and/or faster, what would prevent MC from just recreating the broken object from the remains of it? If some prerequisites or materials of the finished product can both shorten cheapen the production by a considerable amount, what would having virtually all of them in the broken object itself do? You'd have to undercut those already massively lessened potential/material costs by another vast margin for repair to be in any way reasonable option.

He doesn't have physical limitations to his capacity to manufacture, only opportunity costs and their inherent limitation. Why bother optimize on infinity?
