@Tory-kun Nyeh, the old elf look like an orc, is not really the human fault killing something that look similar to orc. It's the MC who need to think that s/he really is no longer human.

"Genocide", not "jenosaido".
"My lord", not "mai loudo".
Please actually translate katakana. Don't just write it in romaji. There's no need to leave it in romaji and make yourself look dumb when it's obviously an English term being used as a loan word.

The old elf may have looked a bit like an orc I guess, but seems they just slaughtered any demihuman they found.

Way to go saintess

Now this is stupid.

They've got an ability that means they can't be attacked, and they're not black. Why are they dying?
That doesn't make any sense whatsoever.

They were unable to be attacked as long as they were on a " base forest" battlefield.
The white champion most likely changed the battlefield when she entered the fight.
How that happened I have no idea tho...

I'm making an assumption here based on what I know from "Magic The Gathering", so take everything I say with a grain of salt as its all just speculation.

Based on what type of deck the "orc" playstyle is they should have the ability to use "trample" or whatever the equivalent effect is called to have damage continue even if blocked.
With an "orc" deck style where every unit has 1 hp unlike the elf deck that also buffs hp you pretty much need to have it to make it a viable deck as it forces the opponent to block with more creatures or lose tons of hp

( Or it's like Yu-gi-oh where you always take the remaining damage aka every unit in the game have the "trample" effect ( its a bit more complicated than that but its the basic explanation )

If a creature with say 65 damage is blocked by a unit with 5 hp, then the opponent loses 60 life as the rest of the damage is sent forward even if blocked.
Considering this is all based on Magic the gathering, it's likely that you can take 20 damage before you die.
Unless he also has the stats of his hero units and it's like playing with a planeswalker hero... but at that point, I don´t see how he could have survived 60 damage at all....
The only other way I can see that would make him survive is that he doesn't die even if he loses the battle as long as he is not attacked directly or that trample damage isn't a thing...
But considering what happened at the end of the chapter I find that to be unlikely.

With 67 damage attacking, assuming the creature has trample then the MC would have to use pretty much every unit he has to even survive.
IIRC most of his units have like 4-7 hp in the last fight when fighting the snake boss.
With the goblin savage elf´s buff of +1+1, they should have an average HP of around 5 or more.

If I'm reading it right according to the last chapter the MC had 8 monsters and summoned two extra.
Then he should have 10 elves in total so with an average of let say 5 he would have enough bodies to tank around 50-60 damage before he himself takes it if everybody blocks for him.
( I should point out that in "Magic" you can have multiple units block one single unit, unless the attacker or blocker has an effect that states otherwise )

Considering one elf and the wolf is still alive, my guess is that all the elves died with the exception of the quite elf and the wolf so the MC probably tanked around 5-15 damage or so.
if the assumption of his HP being 20 at the maximum that is a pretty big chunk of damage.

@Goldenzeal yeah, changed the battlefield or removed the buff thing. It will get an explanation in the next chapter for sure, rules are a important part of this manga till this point so i have faith in the author that they will clarify this.

But its fun to speculate. If the main heroes are plainswalker cards too, then maybe its one of the saint abillities? she is clearly white, so some kind of removal or nullification of another creatures effects should be on point i think... Its been a while since i played mtg, im a bit rusty

*did some edits *

tell me about it, last time I played Magic more than once every 3-4 years was way back when Kamigawa came out in 2004.

And yeah I agree considering she clearly is white and is called "Saintess" it's not too hard to imagine she has some kind of cleansing ability alongside the ability to summon flying units.
I find it more likely she just swapped the battlefield effects.
because she ( most likely ) is not intentionally targeting the elves as the is trying to kill the orcs.
That said I don´t think its an AOE cleanse ability to remove buffs because then the orc hero would have had zero damage.
actually, nevermind his ability would come back/refresh itself unless it was silenced/removed somehow so it could still be both I guess.

We know from chapter 1 the planeswalker ( it says "magic walker" on the card ) that the MC is reincarnated as is "Scars Of The Grave " who has the ability to regenerate one or more elves for one mana.
( effectively reviving creatures the turn they die, but only on the same turn if its anything like Magic )
But he also has the ability to buff all creatures with +3 +3 on his side the field.

I did notice something interesting when going back and looking up the abilities for his planeswalker tho...
According to the "lore text" at the bottom of the card.
Scars of the grave is an "immortal angel who hates god for allowing elves to suffer"
So its also possible he survives because he is effectively immortal because of his bodies backstory.
