@Elizviel
I'm making an assumption here based on what I know from "Magic The Gathering", so take everything I say with a grain of salt as its all just speculation.
Based on what type of deck the "orc" playstyle is they should have the ability to use "trample" or whatever the equivalent effect is called to have damage continue even if blocked.
With an "orc" deck style where every unit has 1 hp unlike the elf deck that also buffs hp you pretty much need to have it to make it a viable deck as it forces the opponent to block with more creatures or lose tons of hp
( Or it's like Yu-gi-oh where you always take the remaining damage aka every unit in the game have the "trample" effect ( its a bit more complicated than that but its the basic explanation )
If a creature with say 65 damage is blocked by a unit with 5 hp, then the opponent loses 60 life as the rest of the damage is sent forward even if blocked.
Considering this is all based on Magic the gathering, it's likely that you can take 20 damage before you die.
Unless he also has the stats of his hero units and it's like playing with a planeswalker hero... but at that point, I don´t see how he could have survived 60 damage at all....
The only other way I can see that would make him survive is that he doesn't die even if he loses the battle as long as he is not attacked directly or that trample damage isn't a thing...
But considering what happened at the end of the chapter I find that to be unlikely.
With 67 damage attacking, assuming the creature has trample then the MC would have to use pretty much every unit he has to even survive.
IIRC most of his units have like 4-7 hp in the last fight when fighting the snake boss.
With the
goblin savage elf´s buff of +1+1, they should have an average HP of around 5 or more.
If I'm reading it right according to the last chapter the MC had 8 monsters and summoned two extra.
Then he should have 10 elves in total so with an average of let say 5 he would have enough bodies to tank around 50-60 damage before he himself takes it if everybody blocks for him.
( I should point out that in "Magic" you can have multiple units block one single unit, unless the attacker or blocker has an effect that states otherwise )
Considering one elf and the wolf is still alive, my guess is that all the elves died with the exception of the quite elf and the wolf so the MC probably tanked around 5-15 damage or so.
if the assumption of his HP being 20 at the maximum that is a pretty big chunk of damage.
