Oof. I mean there's a logic to the Kings' plan... but they're missing some pretty important details. Like how the witch was only in hiding because our fake saint was killing her monsters left and right!

This is retarded. With your power, blowing up everyone (non lethally) and saving your stupid "bodyguard" is a cinch. Instead, she prolonged the conflict for whatever reason.

Someone assassinate the king please.
It actually is, but is a reflection of just how unseriously MC is taking everything. If the person in question actually cared about how they've got a remaining lifespan counted in months, the situation would end up totally different.

Yeah, the MC is treating this like a game. Sure, it is. But in her world this "game" is now reality. It should be mega obvious by now, but fuck man...

And some chapters ago it was already mentioned that she's such a coward by nature that Elrise's existence have straight up delete the witch's romance route.
The witch is so terrified of Elrise that even if Elrise possibly being under imprisonment the witch will still refuse to leave her hiding place.

Contrast this to when they talk about other routes, they don't act as if those routes are gone from the game.

Calling it now, Stocco wasnt taken hostage but agreed to cooperate to "save" her beloved saint
this is exactly what happened in the novel. The people who "apprehended" Elrise at the banquet are all her saint guards, not some faceless soldiers like in the manga. They also knew that they don't stand a chance of facing her head on so they were all basically using the ability to self harm as a threat.

According to ellize, when they reincarnated
Their IQ :
Fudo: 70%
Elize:30%
So, yeah, elize is stupid
With her IQ like a toddler, re read the novel gives me good laugh, and cry
At this point, we still don't know, with her stupidity and twisted mind, are blessings in disguise, or the final recipe to spell the great disaster

Remember that Niito (Elize) is a Neet. Being locked in a room isn't the most horrible thing in the world. She's probably okay taking a stay-at-home vacation for a week or three. If she had to do something right away, then she would do so.

Also from the King's POV, they're terrified of Elize (the greatest saint ever by a factor of about a hundred) becoming the witch (who would then become the most horrible witch ever). So they figure they're much better off letting Elize live and eventually die a natural death. Then a new (normal powered) saint will arise and they'll let her deal with the witch.
