That's with Spurs not having their best player, Son, who's out for injury and needed rest. Timo Werner had two easy chances to make it 5-0 but he blew them.
052.gif
Chances that Son most likely would have capitalized. MU was lucky it was only 3-0 and not worse. The red card on Bruno was... probably a bit too harsh, I guess. Maybe if he was still present, it might not have been that bad.

Pep really sacrificed a cup just to fuck with MU for another season. XD
Also, Cole Palmer was on fire this week.

Some shocking results yesterday. VARdrid and Bayern lost.

Bruno is really trying to find a way to get sold, is he? Two red cards in two consecutive matches.
Roma look like they need a new coach, too. Again.

how in the hell a club as big as Arsenal losing to some unknown club. pepega
Big teams don't always win. Upsets can happen when we least expect it.
Upanhso.tk-24.gif
Who would have thought Aston Villa would be on top of the table of the Champions' League right now. XD

And freaking Madrid done it again. Deja Vu? 3 goals in 10 minutes.
051.gif
Even without Mbappe. I think the strategy to beat them is to park the bus and kill time for 80 minutes, then go all out attack in the last 10. That should confuse them and throw them off their game.
97.gif

Speaking of upsets, Madrid and Bayern lost a few weeks ago to teams that they were expected to beat. As for Madrid, they had one hell of a tough game with Atletico a few days prior. I think it's safe to assume they couldn't recover in time.
011.gif
Same for Bayern as well, maybe. It was also a draw with Leverkusen. A lot of the players and coaches have been speaking up their frustration with the tight schedule this year. Son, Pep, KDB, Klopp, on top of my head, have all said it. While I enjoy following these games, I really do think this cannot be sustainable.
042.gif
The players need enough rest to play well. Champions' League/Europa, Nations' League, World Cup qualifiers, domestic cup, etc. I think it's too much. I doubt even prime Messi or CR7 would have been able to perform well with this schedule. Worst case scenario, someone tears their ACL or overworks their muscle,

and bam, a few months to a year off in their career. FIFA is corrupted and they only care for money. The clubs and the players will eventually have to boycott some games to save their players' health.

I'll be following the players' complaint against FIFA to the EC with some interest - I'm not convinced it will bring much lasting change, as I don't think the EC/EU really has the will to go up against FIFA. But with the World Cup coming up in the US, that might be a chance to nab a few higher-ups and get their attention - I don't think the FBI really cares what anyone in Europe is going to think if they've got a corruption case they can make here.

Barcelona is much more terrifying this season. Yamal is incredible! But still, where was this Lewandowski in the Euro? XD I knew Barcelona would give Bayern a hard time, but never could I have expected a 4-1 result. They really are in trouble now.
027.gif
Same for Atletico as well. They can't afford any more mistakes now. Bayern seems to have an easier road ahead compared to Atletico. But who knows? Anything can happen. PSG is surviving so far. Man City destroyed their opponents today. Guess it was like a training session for them. I think they can beat Madrid.

Hello and welcome once again to another episode of funniest EPL Teams 2024/2025!

And would you look at that. They did it again ladies and gentleman. They really want to be this season's funniest team in the EPL. And it doesn't help that after this game. Ten Hag got sacked. At least he gave the team the FA Cup. That's something.

Next, let's go to the Carabao Cup...

I mean, I get it. It's not as important like the other titles such as the EPL, FA Cup, or the Champions League. But seriously Man City? You lost to Totenham! The Totenham Hotspur that has trophy cabinets full of air than silverware. You lost to them!

With Totenham winning this match, they are now one step closer to getting another piece of silverware in their trophy cabinet. Will they finally do it?

Rodri won the Ballon D'or!
100.gif
I thought it was a tight race between him, Vini, and Jude. Can't really go wrong with either, though. Congrats to him! Can't wait to see him recover and get back on the pitch. Vini had a bad COPA, so that might have lost him some points. Jude, he saved Southgate from getting deported 30 seconds before the match ended, so that alone should have disqualified him.

Nah, just kidding. XD

So ManU finally had enough of ETH. Too bad, he didn't last until at least half the season. Pep sacrificed a cup just so ManU would keep him and everyone else can fuck with ManU for another season. Too bad it didn't last long. T_T

Speaking of sacrifice a cup, he probably did it again to let his players rest. Now they won't have to worry about playing any more FA Cup matches. Neither Haaland nor Son was playing, so at least they can be at full health when they play again. If Spurs can win a cup, even just an FA cup, good for them. I'm not sure if the teams are taking this seriously, either.

Aston Villa beaten by Crystal Palace...?

It seems like the last few days have been terrible for Madrid. First, they got annihilated at home by Barcelona. Where the hell was this Lewandowski in the Euro...? Did Poland not pay him enough?

XD Anyway, 4-0, and stopped RM from breaking their undefeated record. That's gotta hurt. Mbappe broke another record, just not the one he wanted: most offsides in a single match: 8. In comparison, Haaland was offside a total of 6 times the entire last season. But to be fair here, he's not to blame for the loss. Not entirely. Barca was just too damn good. They didn't beat Bayern 4-1 for no reason. On top of that, people have been laughing at them for ditching the award ceremony. Imagine if Vini or Jude had won, and the camera pans to an empty chair? XD Another shock: Ronaldo missed a penalty; Al-Nassir eliminated, no more cup for them, either. Tough week for RM and CR7 fans.

Pretty shocked that Spurs managed to win 4-1 against Villa last week.
051.gif
They can beat City and Villa, but lose to Palace. XD Are they gonna get trashed by Ipswich? ManU survived Chelsea. Liverpool walked alone with their win this time. Both Arsenal and City dropped points. XD Neither Haaland nor Palmer scored, too bad.

More CL matches this week.

Liverpool faces Leverkusen, with only two days to rest. Hope they all manage.
Also, I would like to share something sad.

A lightning struck five players during a soccer match in Peru. One died instantly. NSFW, and maybe not safe for sensitive people, so think carefully before clicking this link.

Not something we expected, but it's a risk to play on a pitch with no roof cover.

Uhm... Man City? Real Madrid? Leverkusen? What's going on?
042.gif

Sporting 4-1 Man City
AC Milan 3-1 Madrid
Liverpool 4-0 Lever

I predicted that Liverpool would win, but did not expect 4-0. This was the Europa final that many people predicted last year. Now, we got it. There's no miracle comeback this time.
How did City lose so badly? Rodri might be gone, but they had Gundoguan and KDB. Haaland missed a penalty, too. Defense was so bad they conceded 4, with 1 being a penalty. Upsets happen, but 3 consecutive losses? Something's wrong with Pep's strategy.
AC Milan has been not so hot lately. Who would have expected them to score 3 goals against Madrid? Mbappe was again being blamed for the lack of goals. He's not free of guilt, but Vini didn't do too well, either. They better sort out their team chemistry fast.

26.gif
Other disappointments include: Bologna, Leipzig, and Girona. Girona has completely lost their spark last season. They are now struggling in both the CL and La Liga. They're just mid-table tier team now. Bologna is the same way. Leipzig, despite being second in Bundesliga, still has not gotten a single win in the CL. At least the former two have points.
