Keep in mind, the only reason these guys survived despite denying water to the soldiers is because they still valued their oath of protection over their lives.

It would've been funny (and very fucked up at the same time) if they were actually back to the village. Then, MC cast illusion magic to the children, changing them into very huge water bags. Since the adults were very thirsty, they bite and drank the 'water' from the 'bags'. When they can finally breathe for a sec, MC then released the spell, releasing the horror to those who had drank the blood.

To add to the shock value, they became thirsty again. Because their minds already broke by that point, they give no shit and started to suck the blood of the children. When the children esentially became a husk with no blood, and the villagers were still thirsty, they bite into each other to drink more blood.
