I went to ex-all female high school. Now it's mix school men and women but still the majority like 90% are women.
Hold on, are you a girl? I mean, did the school changed to mixed gender when you were there, or after you graduated?

After reading a lot of manga I arrived to the conclusion that, with those ratios, the best move to fit in for an East Asian male is to crossdress. Here that imbalance would lead to girls taking turns to date the few boys there are (no kidding), here the first time having sex is dropping from the 12s (middle school, though here there's no difference with highschool) to even 10s and the same goes for doing drugs (and they start watching porn on average at the age of 8). Do you think Japan is hypersexualised? Hah, the Western Countries have taught them how to do it and legally. Just think that in Tiktok there are plenty of videos with grade school students making ads for cosmetics directed to extremely young children (who don't need them) and that market is on the rise.
Meanwhile, when I was that young, we would play completely analogue (playing videogames with friends in each others' homes was common but at most on a weekly basis) and the girls didn't have those fashion worries at all. Since I was prepubescent on days off I would hang in alternative culture stores where I sharpened my musical interests to Rock, Hard Rock, Metal, Heavy Metal and even some Death Metal. When I talk with my childhood friends, they told me that I did better with those hobbies rather than sitting iddly in a park all year round like teens usually did after moving from grade school. It's funny how that geek habits that were despised in the past now are seen in good eyes by the same people.

my guy, it's spelt "ads"

it's short for "advertisements"

why put an extra d like you're trying to say "additions" for short when the full word only has one d

(sorry if you find it offending, I just wanna know out of curiosity)
Because I was pooing while writing that and I went with the suggestion of the mobile phone. It's not that I don't know how to spell it, and having thick fingers doesn't help for typing in a cell phone. If I were to correct every single word I see misspelt I'd not do anything else during the day. And I can assure you that there's a good amount of English natives that do worse than non-natives.

All that sounds pretty hipster, though I remember as a teen starting to follow some entertainers that by the time were only known in their country and had a mixed opinion, just to check it some years later and see they exploded in popularity but I never really liked them. For instance, someone who USAns know pretty well is Lidsey Stirling, it was unknown in Europe and not much popular in general (there were few videos back then, like the failed performance in "America's Got Talent", a thousand of followers and at most five digits in watches) and a few years ago when a friend of mine who named her it ringed a bell and turned out that instead of disapearing it exploded in popularity because she chose the right niche. Same goes for Freddiew, at that time I barely understood English but I also started watching them in the early states. Nowadays are simply a memory when I was a foolish early teen with too much free time and Internet connection.
In comparison, there are Japanese artists that I started following since their beginnings specially when I did scanlation, some of them evolved pretty well, others disappeared and others strayed from the path. A mixed bag like always.

Well, both Twitter and Pixiv messed up with a lot of artists and now it's harder to track them down or communicating with. And those who only do things behind paywalls (Fantia & Fanbox) lowered their quality or uniqueness to fill the quota, not to talk about the NFT trend. Let's see how things turn out in the following years.

Reviving dead thread. Bzzzzzzt- Boom
Have I mentioned that I used to play 5 gacha games simultaneously? I think it was Arknights, PGR, Alchemy Stars, Nikke, and Aether Gazer. I think I survived doing dailies for a month before I went "I really need to change"
