Should her sister and the entire human country know of this or at least take notice of her achievements, they will definitely see her as a political threat and try to eliminate her. This manga will go to that route in the future I guess....

Sometimes I talk to a tree across the yard, and it talks back to me. It tells me I have very compatible energy with it, so I pour energy into it with my heart and soul. Sometimes the tree glows when I do it. The tree is my spirit companion.

At least it's kind to you. In one of my country's local folklore, if the tree starts talking, you start running. Much so if it's a Balete tree

thanks for the chapter!!
i dont like that spirit
the ENTITLEMENT:mad:! i really dont like how she almost ordered lerunda to help her when she is an innocent vulnerable child
i find the whole thing really evil
she first made the elves lose all hope so that they would be desperate, then she said to them "BUT WORRY NOT LERUNDA IS HERE AND WILL SAVE YOU!!" so that they'd put all their hopes onto the poor girl, and only THEN did she (fakely) ask lerunda if she indeed would help, without giving her a way out....
how could lerunda refuse?

and it exhausted her!! the dark circles beneath her eyes clearly proves how much of a pitiful state she is in
of course the spirit entitled like it is dont give a FUCK about lerunda's health

i mean maybe i read too much into this, but words have a meaning
spirit and elves are often portrayed as egoistical (when it comes to their forest) and entitled in other stories so it might be what the author aimed at
and i find it clever if he did!! it shows the personality of the spirit subtly^^its not too obvious but still enough for the reader to at least feel uncomfortable

this being cleverly done aside, i really dislike the spirit lol not as a character, but as a being in the story's setting

like, fuck off from our lerunda!!

don't the mana children die to make the new tree in those games?

It's lol because this does resemble the Mana series games where the "miko" of the Mana Tree has to die and become the next Mana Tree. (this doesn't happen in every game however)

The fairy's actions would be even more sketchy if this had a similar mechanic. Luckily, Lerunda is OP enough, she just has to wish hard and things (including other people, see v3-c12) will fix themselves.

Still vanilla af. In my country, the tree is motherf*cking Juubi that needed a fairy king, a dragon king and a Buddhist monk to defeat him... over the span of 3000 years. Man demanded human sacrifice and when a Qin governor declined, he killed the governor. Yeah, not even Chinese invaders can do a thing to him.

Demonic Sage's just that metal.

Alright, not bad that it didn't take her having to use holy magic to kill that monster. Regular combined attacks by someone not the protagonist actually worked (although her wind attack was also crucial in forcing it to defend itself and reveal its weakness).

The elves were played for fools by a monster that didn't even keep its word. They stained their hands with the blood of innocent sacrifices for nothing.

I was worried for Lerunda when she used holy magic on the tree, good thing Gaius was there to catch her, but that could have been dangerous unless she's already trained her holy magic enough that it's not a mortal danger to use anymore.
