Slenderman was about to give Takehashi the ugliest possible skin suit he could find. Good job rejecting the trade. You would never really know if there was a hidden risk with it either.

Itou explicitly finds Takehashi attractive, but I'm sure she would want to be friends with Takehashi regardless of what she looked like. It's Itou's first friend after all and someone she has bonded with for quite a while. It seems obvious, so I'm not sure if Slenderman has a poor understanding of human motivations or if he simply sees Takehashi as that unlikeable aside from her appearance.

Now that we know Slenderman has thought about taking on Takehashi's appearance, I wonder if he has resorted to psy ops by imitating Takehashi to turn Itou against her. It could be that the murder last chapter was done by Slenderman or someone else and Slenderman decided to pin it on Takehashi.

At least I think that's supposed to be Takehashi in the last panel in 15, unless I'm forgetting some other character. It's a much more Slenderman like pose and expression, with no worm in sight.

With his history of successfully replacing people after imitating their appearance, he does have a bias here that could lead to him overstating the importance of appearance.

Of course, appearance is much more important than most humans would admit. That would fit the "cynical but not entirely wrong monster takes on social relationships" motif we got from Takehashi.

That would translate the meaning, but I still feel in context it lacks some "punch." Takahashi is ultra cynical and misanthropic, so that's why I went with a stronger term here.

lowkey feel like neihara asking takahashi why shes going to tokyo even though she should withdraw her attendance out of fear(?) (like i know takahashi might not see nei as a direct threat, even if she does voice her concerns to itou later on) directly after he questions takahashi’s response of saying itou is a basket case+ overrated (in my opinion, tsundere mode from takahashi) is possibly nei probing takahashi on her real feelings towards itou even if it does seem very… subtexty like?

something something makes me think hes calling out takahashi gaining human emotions towards itou? but idk thats just my own interpretation, does anyone else feel the same way? or have other opinions on this im curious
