Exactly my thoughts. What was the point in this? what did she expect? that his wife was going to say "oh, u wanna divorce? sure, guess we have to do that then" and just up and leave? like, REALLY? Just how dumb do you have to be to try to pull this stunt and actually expect it to work?
It would make sense if they were kids in HS or something, but working adults? come on author.
