As you all know, it's a slap-or-be-slapped world out there, so I'm hoping that this slapping 'simulation' will help you all prepare for real-life situations that involve slapping.
This contest consists of the 13 users that posted slaps in the submissions thread. The actual contest won't last very long. Theoretically, it could even last less than an hour if everyone were to use their slaps immediately.
The rules are pretty simple, and the participation is straightforward.
Below, you can find the rules/format as well as the list of contestants. Each contestant's number of lives and slaps are also listed, and will be updated regularly.
Rules/Format
[ol]1. Each participant has 3 lives and 4 slaps. A slap is used when a user @'s another user with a slap attached to that post. A slap can be in any form, be it images, gifs, videos, or text that says something like "*SLAP*".
2. Each time a user is slapped, they lose a life. If a user loses all 3 of their lives, they are out of the game.
3. A user may only slap another user once, i.e. no duplicate slapping. However, when the number of users drops to 5, the "no duplicate slaps" rule is void. Multiple slaps on the same user are allowed from then on.
4. If a user wishes to slap multiple users, separate posts must be made for each individual user slapped. If a post contains slaps on multiple users, only the first user mentioned/@'ed will be slapped.
5. A 'slap post' directed at a user is allowed to contain any number of slapping images/gifs/etc. The post itself will count as only one actual slap, and result in the loss of only one life.
6. If a user does not post in this thread within 24 hours of the initial post or their last post, they will be disqualified. This is intended to keep the game going, and to finish it relatively quickly. Additionally, any slaps used on a user disqualified by lack of participation, before or after they were disqualified due to lack of participation, will not be refunded.
7. If multiple users are left in the game, but lack the required slaps to knock each other out, the winner is decided by whoever has the most lives after all slaps have been used. If all slaps have been used and the number of lives are equal, the game will result in a tie for first place.
8. When the number of contestants is 5 or fewer, each contestant will be given one extra slap to use if no slaps occur for 24 hours, i.e. 24 hours after the last posted valid slap.[/ol]
