@icarushector the plan of wuxie marrying the second prince plan? The second prince didn't like how weak wuxie was and he liked the qinyun thot better as did the emperor. The emperor thought that having connections with the qinyun will be more useful for them than the lin clan since they were "weak and dying". They could've gotten the army anyways if the heads died.

@shiirosagi it's not like they didn't have connections, based on this deal, and they could have just done the poisoning song and dance they did with the emperor's first wife to make room for Qinyun girl. Basically, second prince would have never cut it anyway even if our girl hadn't transmigrated in.
