Honestly I'd love that since the three of them complement each-other so well. But I HIGHLY doubt it lol. Shame there are so few yuri manga where poly route is a succesful option.

I mean I've been hoping for a poly ending since the start since I liked the chemistry between Natori with both of them (so poly with just two sides of a triangle), but specifically this chapter what I was thinking about wasn't just admiring it was Lapis petting Diana and Diana saying "That's a smooth move..." with a heavy blush, which sets up more to come between them. It's not like every triangle has to end in a three way of some sort, but this one vibes for it

But the soft spot isn’t the same as it is for Lapis though. That’s her issue. She wants to be a romantic interest and up until now, Natori has shown no hint of viewing her that way and certainly not more so than how Natori views Lapis. Diana knows she’s loved as a close friend (and oshi) but she wants more. She wants to be viewed like Lapis is viewed. She can feel the unique closeness those two have, even if Natori and Lapis currently deny it; and she is jealous of that. So, for her, whatever she’s been doing actually hasn’t worked.

Anything is possible at this point but the girls (and boys) blush for lots of reasons in this story. Blushing is not only used to show romantic interest and that scene had plenty of other reasons for that blush.

A lot of the dramatic work has been based around Lapis and Diana wanting Natori for themselves. They’re nice to one another as friends but that doesn’t indicate a willingness to share a romantic partner with someone. Things can change over time, though but I don’t see it yet.

I think it’s mostly that people don’t want a “loser,” more than anything within the text. It’s “how do we resolve this love drama without any of the characters I like being hurt (and therefore, me being hurt)? Well they should all just get together." But poly relationships aren't just something you fall into. They take a unique kind of effort and personalities.

basically what i am saying is that i know she wants to be a love interest and she can see the twos special bond, but she could make a mistake that weakens the bond she has with natori now in attempts to rival lapis in status for a chance at the special bond

This series has become very quickly in of my favorites, the art is gorgeous and the writing is surprisingly good despite taking a somewhat overused premise.

Now as for the chapter itself, unlike many people here, I think the possibility of a threesome ending was dashed a bit. Whereas Lapis' growing affection for Natori is being framed as a chance to save her from her self-destructive plans and maybe even help her to find redemption, Diana is being framed as somewhat toxic and pushing the poor girl into destructive and harmful behavior, I wouldn't be surprised if Diana's character ends up being about learning to let go of her affections for Natori so she can become the heroine she's meant to be.

Lapis is by far the most fascinating character in the story, there is a great balance in showing her as a confused and somewhat misunderstood teenager but at the same time, there are subtle hints to show that she is a villain. I read her interactions with Diana as her stating her claim over Natori under that mask of politeness for no other reason than to be petty.

I'm surprised about all the people assuming that Rubeus is acting on his own since I think that he is acting on Gran's behalf to try and stop Lapis' plans before they can start, I think that the implication that Diana could claim Natori for herself if she helped Rubeus was an obvious hint of Gran's involvement.
