This is such a weirdly disjointed manga. The mangaka keeps introducing new elements that briefly look like they could be important in the long term, then they just sort of peter out or fade away, and it moves on to the next thing that looks like it might be important in the long term but then isn't.

I believe the Iron Rule was not to get involved with the actress. But considering him and Honjou were already becoming a thing I don't think that's the case here. I feel more like he's placing blame on himself for what happened than on her. He believes he broke the rule rather than what she did to him causing him to do so. It's like when rape victims blame themselves for the act more than the person who assaulted them. At least that's how I saw it

Honestly that makes things worse. He hates himself for not being able to keep cool and film his abuser. Good thing someone like Honjou likes him. I like that Honjou was able to tell he feels down without him saying a word. I feel like it'll be her to confront sensei

Even if you want to say it's because of the director and actress thing it doesn't fully work, since he's been with Honjou and likes her. If anything this is just an excuse he's telling himself to cope with things, and him blaming himself to not deal with the situation. He's the director yet did not have full control of the actions of one of his actresses. In his mind the blame must be on him, which it shouldn't be

Let's meet in the middle and say I was half right. I did get that he'd be mad at himself due to his position as the director but I missed the mark on the finer details specifically in regards to the Iron Rule(s).
