Summary:
Seems like an innocent enough manga to show basic kindness to someone you cared about and I don't think that's a bad thing. I hope that they build a good relationship with one another in which they can help each other thrive, regardless if the relationship is platonic or romantic. So, I'm hoping the manga continues to move in this direction where they support each other, honestly.
Addressing the frustrations below:
I can understand the frustration that men feel when they read a manga like this. Girl found a guy that is a pushover and uses him for what he has until she leaves and doesn't want anything to do with him anymore when her house is completed. Because that just makes the main girl a douche, obviously. I hope the manga doesn't go in that direction.
Personal Take
Everything is great so far, just as long as the main girl doesn't start bringing other guys over to his house. If she does, then I fully expect the guy to promptly kick her the fk out. If the child is doing fine and thriving and ends up agreeing what her mom did is absolutely wrong, then he should offer her a place to stay (NOTHING WEIRD HAPPENING) in the event that her mother ends up being a jerk, assuming that her daughter stays at his house for the sole purpose of getting through high school and/or college and getting a job.
