Not bad but wow, the old party was chaotic, made a deal with him that if he didn't unlock the advanced job he was fired, he didn't and they fire him, he tries to lick their shoes to stay in the party, they laugh at him but even declare how he is limiting them and in the end leave in a "friendly" way, then he discover they stole money he should have got from the guild because his job situation gave precious information, at the same time they were going around with someone that wasn't much help so we could think they were taking the money as fee (we don't know how much a million is in that world), then he discovers that he wasn't a bad adventurer and gave real good support and the old party lied to him about his abilities so that he would stay and not leave for another.

So the old party looks like the usual, cliche group of bastards that use a MC all they can but with some more thought into this, well, is unlikely he will meet them again soon as they left.

So it might sound like a plot/special power that's meant to get from one h-scene to another. And that might be correct, originally.

However it seems like the author got tired of writing h-scenes on nocturne and made them shorter and fewer anyway even in the nocturne web novel over the course of the first arc. To the point where the usual one-page montage that you get in this kind of manga adaptation might even add to the description rather than shorten it at times.

The author's focus seems to be mostly how to set up situations where it's safe to get into sage time while there's still enough time to use it, and also how to best use sage time, rather than the part in between.

@Rouster It's the time after a satisfying ejaculation, when all your worldly desires have been eliminated, letting you reach enlightenment. Hence "Sage Time".

Is the beginning rushed in the manga adaptation? cause while i get the whole "frog in a well" and "don't put yourself down, you might not be as bad as you think you are" schtick the author is going with, it's just impossible for him to be viewed favorably by other people while his party treat him like trash. Unless he's a shut in who never interact with other people, which is impossible for an occupation like an adventurer.
