It was real. The mangaka failed to adapt the proper explanation: Someone who looks like Kento went in to police claiming to be him and have been isekaid. The father, not knowing how to explain what happened to the mother, took more than a week to verify the identity, during which media speculated.
Ah ok, man... That was, terribly depicted...

It’s strange doesn’t mc lived with his grandma who had die before the summoning 🤨
If I remember the Web novel well :

At first he lived with both parents and his paternal grandmother.

Then the dad left and he lived with the Grandma who was the one who raised him and his mom who was more like a older sister, from 3rd or 4th grade.

Then the grandmother died in the hospital (I think it was cancer) one year before the start of story and he lived with only his already heartbroken mom who made sure to spend everything of money the father was still providing with shopping and gambling out of spite and addiction.

I know they've had some serious stuff this chapter but I gotta say Camilla's running gag still makes me laugh for some reason.

I wonder if MC could just learn to do the summoning ritual from Camilla and just shadow step to Japan and summon his classmates back there.

I agree with the second paragraph, but dont forget the only reason he didnt kill her is because he was stoppped by his skeleton (who is a lot older than him so he has soe experience and wisdom to share because of that) and the "reward" i assume you mean the help with the defences, if that is the case it was explained earlier that this is for literally innocent people just like they were innocent and dragged there to be killed basically, should they end up as the same kind of people and forsake the innocent? thats just my take though.
I understand that he did it for the people, but it is exactly what the princess wanted.
The entire reason she summoned children as disposable soldier slaves, was for that .

He could still protect the innocent people with great ease AND punish the princess, she's not needed alive and/or healthy for the protection of the people to be achieved.

Changing mind because his skeleton summon, told him to "it's bad, mkay?", is in my opinion VERY weak plot-wise and just made to follow one of the most annoying tropes in Japanese manga and literature in general, of having the MC be a goodie two shoes regardless of how vile someone is.

The princess knowingly and intentionally sent him to die in the forest, and he experienced being eaten alive , all because the princess deemed him a talentless waste.(meanwhile the adults she kept imprisoned but safe, that tells you A LOT about her moral fiber and why she needs to be severely punished), call me crazy but I would have a HUGE grudge after such a mentally scarring ordeal, one that the words of anyone would not be able to quell.

I mean let's look at the facts here.

He didn't even bother to punish her at all and a couple of slaps or the silly "hur hur I'll make her think she's my summon" deal, is no real punishment in the least.

What did the princess do?

She summoned 207 children with the intent of keeping them as disposable slave soldiers, that were meant to be perpetually mistreated, to "keep them in line" as well as using the lie that she'll return them to their world as a reward. Meaning that her plan was to eventually "dispose" of them all, when she's done using them since they are too dangerous to keep alive for at least two reasons (one being that they are proof she broke the law and used forbidden summoning magic, that is punishable by death, the other is the whole story with the heroes turning into "demonlords").

There are 201 children's families who will potentially never see their children again, and those of the teachers as well.

She sent the MC to die in a terrible and excruciating way, because he was "powerless", then essentially ordered Funayama's slow and painful execution via starvation and abuse.

She murdered almost 50 people during her abduction (most of them children).
plus the abduction was the trigger that caused the MC's mother to off herself and his father (however bad their relationship was).

After all that the words of a skeleton, no matter how wise, should not be able to save the princess from a severe punishment.
Heck the MC is a very powerful healer, he can make her suffer greatly(say by throwing her to be eaten alive by goblins a few hundred dozen times) and still have her be healthy in body at least.

Yikes, I want to believe that things will go well for Kento, but he just revealed the presence of powerful magics and other worlds to the government...... I can't see that going any way except to try to analyze his powers and try to gain a leg up on an impending resource war. I also think given time he'll be seen as either a threat, a weapon, or a subject.

As for the imitators? Why would they automatically think of his story and go "Hmmm disappearance and assault/suicide? Definitely otherworldly spatial magic time!" It's not like Kento was alone in disappearing and I'm certain his wasn't the only family to crash out. It just feels poorly written so that we can see how tragic Kento's life is. The author feeds on making him suffer for some reason.

This feels fucking ridiculous, and one of the main reasons why I don’t like when they can go back and forth between worlds.

The consequences of the summoning is unique and good, but this bullshit of showing magic out of nowhere, and reacting like it was just a Tuesday?

And middle schooler or no, there’s got to be a better way of handling the situation. I’m getting tired of how dopey this dude is.

It's rare to see an Isekai show the consequences of such a summoning on the Earth side. 49 kids dead, 150 injured and it was also the cause of MC's mom committing suicide.

This is pretty monstrous of the kingdom and it's sad that the princess will probably get away with it and join the MC's harem.
Well in most isekai it's usually just the people that get teleported or they have to die before before hand and get reborn so there's usually no collateral damage to worry about but this time a while middle floor of a building went with it

Not like the government can do anything to him anyway, and it's not like he wants to come back. It's the ones who want to go back I'm worried about, especially those who haven't explored their abilities so they really don't know what they are capable of they're the ones who will get exploited by the government if they go back

Hello everyone! New chapter is up! Please let me know if you spot any inconsistencies.
I have caught up to the raw release. After this chapter, I will resume translating and uploading it in 1/3 chapter.
Enjoy the read! :hearts:
Pg 21, I'm assuming it should be "the faces I remember are mom's smiling faces..." because he clearly reminiscing about his mom.

Thanks for pointing that out.

I went back and re-read the original text and confirms Kento is actually referring to his dad there. In the chat bubble, he mentions that he can’t remember his mom’s recent face, which confirms it.

For reference, the original Japanese line is "思い出すのは父さんが居た頃の笑ってる顔といなくなってしまった時の辛そうな顔..." , in case you're interested.

Appreciate you catching it though!

The addition of being able to go to his original world was nice and then the mindfk of people cosplaying as him had some powerful twist potential, it was a mundane, and slightly forced, development but for a couple of pages I was really hooked, there's much to exploit on him being able to move around, I hope the author uses it wisely.
As a side note, I think the part where Amanda hugs him was poorly executed, lacked gravitas by Kento's side.

Thanks a lot for the scanlation ^.^

I had been putting off catching up on this for a few months, but this was just some jump-to-conclusion garbage. The 'youtuber pretends to be random kid who died' segment makes no fucking sense. Oh, and that "here's my written apology for one kid dying because our captors beat the shit out of him and I was nearby" part? Fuck that noise. I don't know how one group of people can switch between 'the nail that sticks up gets nailed down' one chapter and 'apologize for not taking a beating for my ungrateful shit kid' the next.
