I really hope they don't forgive the princess. Who cares that she's a great leader, or her reasoning for doing it? It doesn't change the fact that she enslaved you and 200 or so others, for her own benefit, cut you off from all your family and contacts (possibly forever), and proceeded to essentially publicly kill some of your peers to make examples of them.
And she does all this under the pretext that you're some sort of sub-human species!

At the very least, she should be treated as a slave for some time as well, though that is hardly justice - especially if they treat her kindly for a slave.

Let the monsters eat her alive while the MC heals her.

The thing you mentioned gets resolved relatively fast. If you want to know the next story arc after rescue:

Two different plots:

• Reconnecting with Earth, including some big trouble coming over from there.
• Kent conquering Rosenburg from the shadows.

The manga raws are still at the point of wrapping things up before that though.

I'd say this is something to do with orientation. Eruna is a native of this world, isn't she? Things like that are probably common in a place where people have been experiencing wars between countries, territories, and factions. She probably got used to it as a fact of life.

So far I’m on page 6 but about their comment on killing all the knights that’s short sighted and impulsive. I get why they’re angry but the knights protect the people from outside threats, so them dying would leave civilians exposed. And the knights are following orders, if they went against them they’d die

Everyone here pretty much worships Camilla? That's great, that simplifies things a lot. Just take her as a hostage and force everyone to surrender themselves, threatening to kill her otherwise, and simply kill or incapacitate those unwilling to do so. Then, threaten Camilla with the lives of all of her vassals if she doesn't share the way to return to their world.
Obviously, this is just a basis of a proper plan, but it's still a whole lot better than some idealistic "rescuing everyone without killing anyone" bullshit.
