Bard Loen is always a treat! As Warukyure mentioned already, the worldbuilding and characters are outstanding.
However, I've noticed something of a shift in way of storytelling.
In the very first major plot arc we were privy about Bard's very personal view on the events unfolding around him and the chapters focused in-depth on his interactions with all kinds of players relevant to those events.
But, to take this chapter as an example, the story is almost written as a summary.
New town! Corruption! Curse! White King! Invitation to the castle! Attack! Ghost! Julchaga is back! Exterminating the White King!
I'm still invested. But I feel like the story or the way it's being told has been negatively impacted.
