Never had a chance to read the one-shot that this one came from (its been removed now) but this is pretty great. Following this for sure even if I have to keep track elsewhere.

Chapter 1 is the one-shot.
There is another ecchi one-shot made by Kawazoko (A.K.A Kikunyi) which was also removed along with the first original one-shot

For those who wish to look it up, its full original title is Tonelico Houdoukan no Ura Houkokusho (Hitoner)

Yeah, I get the feeling that if we ever met aliens, they'd be shocked and disgusted by our ability and willingness to eat almost anything, and our pursuit to turn any plant, fungus, animal or mineral into food, spices, alcohol and drugs.

It’s “humans are space orcs” isn’t it
Honestly, one of my favourite tropes.
So many sci-fi, or any stories really, ultimately have a bleak outlook on humans and their fellow man. Humans are Space Orcs stories at least says that humanity has done some cool things, there's an optimism and admiration for humanity, and our future, there that is sorely lacking in so much of our media.
It's kind of the optimism that the original Star Treks' had, but cooler.

How long would it take for us humans to evolve an animal to walk upright and speak a language? Domesticating foxes took a few decades. I want to know for science reasons.

I don't get it. Sure, we can eat a lot of different stuff. But carnivores should have much easier time digesting meat, which can be raw or even rotten. That's an important source of protein we couldn't fully utilize before the invention of fire. And herbivores should be getting much more out of plant and grain.

Another thing. I guess it's not far enough in the future that just anybody can go in space(but far enough that they let people just fly wherever and alone), and he supposed to have outstanding health and atleticism, but I don't buy that he's stronger than a bear, for example.

I know it's not the point of the series, but giving the kemo a near identical solitary star and moon which resemble Earth's makes it seem even more impossible. Then again the impact having multiple solar and lunar cycles or a different class of star would have on biology would get very complicated.
