Uuurgh, I'm think I'm gonna drop this one. I don't like how the mc gets treated here. He could leave, and he does just fine on his own, but I have a feeling bitchprez is just gonna get bitch at him. You guys enjoy this.
He did get thanked....he then also got lectured. And I can't exactly say they are wrong to do so because he does dangerous things without even realizing something dangerous happened at times...and he is proven to be incapable of even remembering the name of the town they are in. They end up basically putting up large billboards around to try and help him recall the name of the town.....he still doesn't know after 300+ chapters of living there.
@Yamaji
This....pretty much is the case. One of the items at the magic shop keeper's stall originally was a pheromone ring that raises affinity with females but he couldn't afford it and everything else. During this time period he stated he wanted to go to the dungeon to find said ring because that shopkeeper had moved on to another town where he couldn't find him. The girls hearing about this and knowing that basically the whole class is in love/nearly in love with him start hunting dungeons and trying to keep him from going to them because if it was ever found they feared they'd literally throw themselves at him.
And the fear seems to be less that they'd do it with him so much as that they are pretty sure if one of them tried to throw themselves on him he would disappear and they couldn't even try to help him anymore. Because he hasn't given up on the idea of finding a way to send the girls back home, he's given up on the sports boys and otaku by chapter 300 something. The Otaku wouldn't want to go home and the sports boys have killed humans like him by then.....but he refuses to let the girls into a situation where they'll have to kill humans and tries to preserve their old lives as much as he can so that he can send them back even if he needs to leave himself stuck in this world to do so. A part of that is seemingly his trying not to do anything too sexual with them, so they are slowly stepping it up over time instead.
He doesn't really show it but the reason he doesn't go is that he's worried about them. And I wouldn't really say it stops being a 'lonely attack' until the end of this arc. While he keeps staying around them all he has no one on his level right now and continually ends up doing everything by himself to keep everyone alive, safe and happy. After this arc levels improve a good deal and there's a new development that makes it not such a lonely job for him even though he still ends up running about on his own fairly frequently.
...and he is proven to be incapable of even remembering the name of the town they are in. They end up basically putting up large billboards around to try and help him recall the name of the town.....he still doesn't know after 300+ chapters of living there.
Maybe he just has selective memory. Like me with names. I've worked in the same place for roughly 10 years, but I struggle to remember even a few of my co-workers' names. Or like back when I did mandatory military service for 8 months, you'd think that'd jog your memory, but a few months afterwards I'm pretty sure I already forgot all of theirs. Same with school(long time ago). For some reason people names don't click with me. Perhaps the mc has something similar.
Mind you, doesn't mean I have bad memory, I recall faces pretty well, and I was pretty good at school. And the item lists and character names from games I played 10 years or more ago. The important stuff...
The Prez needs to realize she they aren't master and slave, they are classmates. She can show care and concern but she has no right to try and control how he lives. Also is that guild master a f**king retard? I mean this guy wipes out all those orcs and even an orc king and the guild master tells him not to do that... I mean at what point will they realize he is strong.
