Maine is now Maïne. Her name is supposed to be pronounced as “mine” (one syllable, like the English word), and I was basically deluding myself into believing that’s how people were pronouncing it. Maybe an umlaut will fix it.

実は、マインの名前は難しいのですよ。
ふぁんぶっくのＱ＆Ａに答えたことがあるのですが、実は、先に「本須麗乃（もとすうらの）」の名があります。
「本は須く、うらのである（本は当然私の物である）」という意味です。
日本語の古い一人称に「うら」があり、「うらの＝私の物」から英語mine、ドイツ語でmain（主人公）という言葉遊び的に「マイン」の名前が決まりました。
日本語での言葉遊びですから、西洋の読者にとっては非常にわかりにくいと思いますし、そのまま名前として使うわけにはいかない単語です。
名前として通じやすい綴りとしてQuofさんがいくつか候補を挙げてくださり、私はその中から「Myne」を選びました。

Kinda a weird question to ask though because the WN and LN are themselves split up into these parts and are labelled as such, so it's not hard to work it out. It's not like the manga arbitrarily decided to split it into parts.

@Izaya_Onisai: english is not only "western" language so there's various ways to interpret, if a japanese author is basing it on english, french or german writing for example there would be differences.

@Nighthawlc My question wasn't clear to being with cause I had no idea at the time if I'll continue with WN after I finished with scanlated chapters or if I'll finish manga chapters and than go to the novel. I did ended up reading all available manga chapters, like in last few hours lol. And I'll probably be off to WN tomorrow.
I did notice that LN and manga have different first part title, which kinda confused me, but fortunately chapter names are descriptive enough to figure out with which chapter to start even in middle of second part.
