He already calls her Chihiro-san, so just taking away the san is something very embarrassing, it's difficult to understand this 100% because he already calls her by name, she should be used to it. I always wonder if this actually happens in real life.
Yes, I guess. Honorifics is pretty important there

Last time we seen one of them being aggressive was Chihiro (infact the last few times); Kenta pulling a switch.

And what was that "you know" in the original? All your translation notes are very interesting and informative, but it seems you forgot this little one

I love how in japanese "Chihiro" can be so much more intimate than "Chihiro-san"

In the original japanese text, Kenta-san ended his sentence with よ (yo) which has different ways it can be interpreted when translating to English. Since the goal in this chapter was for Kenta-san and Chihiro-san to move from polite speech to casual speech the best English translation that will fit the context is the "you know", as adding "you know" to your phrases adds casualness to it and may also come out as impolite sometimes, that's why you see in the next panel Chihiro-san calls out to him on that by saying "Do you think adding the 'you know' makes it sound better?"

I hope this answers your question.

So she has her own kind of weak spot, huh.... huu huu huu.

I always like seeing this kind of thing- its different enough from americas kind of name culture, you know?

...though technically the nickname I go by is derived from my last name, which isnt that different, huh...
