I'm expecting a "bait and twist" there was too much "you'll learn who you truly love" and "are you sure you want to go through with this" and even Maya's "my lady..." despite her actions last chapter.

I wouldn't be shocked if she gets pulled through that door and finds out Gray is there waiting for her and the whole thing was a ploy to see if she'd truly want to marry a commoner despite the opposition from family and if she'd stand up for him even after he "fled," and to see if Gray had the resolve to fight back against those same odds.

Would it be stupid? Yes. Would it redeem this shitty arc? No.

I’m definitely more neutral on this arc because I’ve seen worse, but it would get a good laugh out of me so there’s that.

Did Maya betray Grey though? If Maya had not intervened Grey would have been killed right on the spot. Her cleaning up the situation allowed her to save Grey, but they couldn't really do anything immediately

Literally the only reason this shitshow is happening in the first place is that Maya decided to babble about Alicia and Grey's relationship to her father for no reason.

I've said it before, Alicia should just fire her ass and kick her out, because she's shown she has no loyalty to her and only a moron would keep a disloyal head servant under their employ. Send her back to the main mansion with Alicia's fathar, if she's so loyal to him.

I tried looking it up but I can't find this specific thing. I also couldn't find how Gray is alive or whatever but it's obvious he's alive. But eventually,

Grant and Gray have a life or death duel but Grant uses a knight instead that's supposed to be OP. As expected, that knight will lose to Gray and dies. Grant tries to beg but even the King says it's a duel with life and death on the line. Alicia then walks up to Gray saying it's for the both of them and they both kill Grant.

Nothing on the shitty maid though. I also didn't read on after that. I'll probably drop this after that conclusion and won't read until it's at that part because it sounds like just a shitstorm brewing.

All I'm going to say is that if you don't know how we got here, you should read more. Watch a TV show. Actually engage with media halfway. This story is the most by the numbers tropes I've seen in a long time. Which is kind of refreshing. The only reasonable people here are the ones who see that the output of this story isn't doing it any favors.
