Got it, this Gotou woman is the type who likes to control things in order to suit her wants, putting herself above others to a point where it's harmful, caring more about herself more than anything. If she truuuly loves the MC, then she would have explained her agenda through proper conversation, not through these manipulative schemes that only arose due to other women showing interest in her boy-toy (or so she thinks). Either way, she went the wrong way about it, and it seems her meat will get burned from overcooking in the end. Good thing the MC has a good head above his shoulders... Unlike some people here, apparently, who only thinks with their lower head. Just getting laid doesn't lead to true happiness.

She reminds me a lot of the ex from "Ore no Himekutsu o Haite Kure".

If Gouto's asking those as a romantic interest, that's definitely a red flag. If she's asking those questions as a boss, it still doesn't look good. There are better ways to ask if she thinks it might impact the MC's work performance.

The author is doing a great job with Gotou's character. The writing conveys what kind of person she is, at least around specific people.

I think you guys are forgetting that the girl is a minor, Gotou is actually a good friend. Sayu shouldn't be a love interest for any man of MC's age, so them living together is actually weird. MC can't kick her out and she can't stay forever. I know the story can be whatever the author wants it to be but realistically you should react like Gotou.

@Maou-Sama I wouldn't be so quick to label her as a 'good friend'. Sayu is a minor as you said, so Gotou's stated concerns certainly are fair game, but there's been several signs that she's pretty abusive and manipulative. This chapter even highlighted that as Sayu comments about her fake smile, and keep in mind she didn't even hesitate or attempt to correct things after she broke the heart of the guy she says she was interested in with a lie, she only corrected herself when not only did another girl show interest in him at work but also he was behaving like he had a girlfriend with his scheduling. If Gotou really was a good friend, it wouldn't have taken her this long to notice something was up, as his close friends noticed basically a day or two later, while Gotou you seems to have taken a few weeks. She is setting off a lot of red flags for people, even if Sayu being a minor does justify a lot of these questions.
