The incest thing revelation was wild but got swept under the rug bc the axe man cameth...

As always, art does not thrive through capitalist means. Fuck off publisher

Edit: I forgot they're technically not related? It wasn't that memorable. That might be why it was axed actually. The biggest side character (merchant lady) was there but I didn't care that much about her.

I was more interested in seeing how successful negotiations with her would lead to our main couple growing closer. It took too long for a lot of people I guess. Since they stopped buying the manga T_T

"incest" needs a big asterisk because they weren't blood sisters, more like S-Relationship sisters through the school they attended with Dahlia being Violet's Onee-san.

Everything else I fully agree with though.

??? Dude come on it’s a yuri that advertises itself as a yuri, why would it fail because of homophobia? There’s an established audience for yuri and it failed with that audience.

I get you guys are mad at the axe and how often Yuri specifically gets it but Christ get it together
I mean it's fair to argue reason that yuri is a niche genre is due to homophobia in the first place. Yuri stories are fundamentally valued less by everyone outside of its small niche because there romances about two female characters.

People like different types of romance, or romances they can identify with. There's nothing phobic about this, it's just a niche genre because its audience is very small, It does not necessarily have to do with homophobia.

Without counting straight men or women who might like some romance between women, lesbians and bisexuals don't even make up 10% of the population. If you add to that the fact that not all of them like to read romance or action genres like this manga, it means that its audience will always be very small.

For me, the problem lies in the fact that manga still focuses heavily on its Japanese audience. If they managed to release even digital formats to other regions, it could really help these niche genres.

A lot of yuri is catered to men not lesbians. Which is why I absolutely detest a lot of yuri. And then one comes along that doesn’t seem to cater to men with a lesbian fetish—and it gets axed.

I Want to Quit being a Hitman, Gyaru Maid, Teapot Hero, Liar Satsuki, Sukeban to Tenkousei and now this. And that's just what I can think of off the top of my head. I wish I could get into het isekai harems so at least I wouldn't have to worry about my favorite series getting axed all the time.

ahistoric and categorically untrue. the vast majority of yuri authors are women/lesbians and audience demographics are majority women / queer people.

If you haven't heard, unfortunately this manga got axed. There's one more chapter after this. Sorry all.

No wonder that confession seems kinda outta nowhere :(

Sad as I just saw that the Red Dragon looks kinda similar to BK's armor, possibly having same origin or something.
