@karolyn Perhaps they poorly communicated amongst themselves and all ran off to take care of things as fast as they could before coming back for a big party. In particular, the big miscommunication here was she seemed to think they were all busy with normal work while her dad was just being fussy about last minute gift shopping.

even if she was of mature age in her previous life, it has to be known that her previous environment is completely different that what she has currently. to say that she's regressed is accurate, bc when she lost her actual parents... well its like she was oppressed to stay in that state. bc even if she was a "yes woman" to her aunt, the times she wanted to defy her, she was extremely fearful and anxious

now I'm curious about the adults. all of them seems to be planning something, but did they just not talk to each other? MC is still small, even if she was given food on her plate. was no one their to distract her for her birthday surprise? they should all know that MC is prone to getting lonely, even if they sincerely care for her, no one is considerate enough bc she's a child who'll be happier with toys?
