@Doomer "maybe kicking him out is best for the company but it's still a dick move no matter how you look at it."

Not when they break you off a fiefdom, plus a nice chunk of cheese, it ain't. And it wasn't just best for the company. It was best for him. He was about to get killed following behind them or get one of them killed trying to protect him. Nobody's obligated to keep dragging dead @$$ weight around to the detriment and danger of the all concerned, just so you can avoid hurting his feelings.

Dude gets kicked out of party because the training skill buff isn't as good as initially..
Hence the dude thought a step beyond in making a army to rival the demon lord with the numbers..?
Advanced class in magic college.. so he's also a mage/wizard on the side? *with only basic level spells? -.-
Shouldn't he at least become a sage? Why is he restricted by this training/leeching skill but he seems to be jobless?
After telling us this clearly of the reason on why he's kicked out of party..
They really won't do another 'Oh, but that dude was actually useful and we took for granted..
Now our leveling speed dropped by sooooo much.. *Just normal rate without the 2x?*
Our logistics is in dire situations without the dude with only basic magic, appraisal and 2x exp boosting..?
Will owning a territory be a condition to unlock a skill upgrade?

Just for clarification: the unit of measure used by the author to describe the size of his fief was koku, not acres.

Koku is not a measure of the physical size of a piece of land. Rather, koku refers to the amount of rice needed to feed one person for an entire year. Since he was given 2,500 koku, that means his fief can produce enough food to support 2,500 people.

To put it into perspective, a Japanese feudal lord during the Sengoku period having land producing at least 10,000 koku of rice would be considered a daimyo. 2,500 koku would put the MC at the level of a hatamoto.

@Kazumaik Well, it's mainly on the fact that he doesn't have an "occupation" that's suited for that level of a fight, it's like his level cap is at 50 and the demon lord is at 100..
Also, technically he hasn't unlocked his full "gods eye/analysis" yet. What he see's now is a fraction of what is actually there. Also, he still hasn't
figured out that his boosting ability isn't fully unlocked either. So, yeah he's stupidly OP.

For those who don't understand why they would kick out a super useful ability such as double experience gain, you need to look back at how RPG works. The ability is super useful back when they were weak and Cross can get 50xp from killing wild boars while Eiga get 25xp and they only needed 200xp to advance a level. Now that they're powerful, the party members getting 500xp from killing a wyrm while Eiga gets 250xp is no longer such a great ability, because now they have to get 2 million xp to level up.

You're probably wondering what's the big deal? It will still make the party level up faster than without him, right? True, but the problem is, you have to stoop to his level, so that he don't get killed. While the party has an average level of 50, he's only level 30 or so. Which means, you can't bring him to fight higher level monsters which would give you high amount of xp and if you do that, you will have to keep protecting the glass. Ai-chan is sure everyone here knows how annoying NPC escort missions are, right? So what would they do? They have to keep fighting weaker monsters, around his level 30. If they don't have to keep protecting him, they can fight stronger monsters that give better xp rewards. So it's better to just leave him out.

As for the evolvement of his ability, Ai-chan thinks the double experience boost will apply to his party, which is now the whole fief. So his farmers become better farmers, his soldiers become better soldiers and his craftsmen become better all in half the time. That's a pretty strong perk for a county. Instead of double xp for a party of six, it's a double xp for the whole county.

nah seriously, who in its right mind, would try to manage a territory...
at least is not the staple of the party betraying/discarding like trash...

Too much of a title. But the hero party... their hearts literally broke.

The dude is logistics. Not just the average kind, the top-tier. He's more suited for trade and management. Not raids and adventure contracts

This is one of the kinder, "you're no longer useful to the hero party" stories lol

Still though, they smacked him in the face with that reality...twice

This is the first time I see a hero party kick someone out of their party but both sides leave on good terms and gives the guy something good for leaving

this is really refreshing and is probably the only time ive seen until now a party that cares for the member that helped them the most... Thanks for the translators picking this up (and sorry for the author cause even if i wanna pay for the work i cant.)

Thank you for the transtion ^^/ it looks really good 😋.
I'm happy to see that at least some members really valued him as a friend and all.
The title is sooo long ahahaha XD it describes the first chapter and leaves any extra explanation irrelevant.

I appreciate this "guy cast out from the big shot party" trope being taken in a different light. Instead of "this guy was weak ... but secretly A GOD only after being kicked out from the hero's party yada yada yada" is instead being replaced by an actual believable relationship where the party doesn't all hate his guts ... this also makes it a lot more relatable. The feeling of being left behind because you no longer fit a certain roll can be really awful. This shows optimism in that there are other opportunities if you look for them, or have people that care about you (and friends in high places in this case) to help with that. "all ends are new beginnings" something something ... whatever this comment is too long already

@jimmyclear right. Logistics and finances are skills that are valuable to an organization, but on this extremely micro scale, especially where combat is concerned, that can't be his ONLY asset. He could probably become some high ranking official in the government or the adventurer's guild or something if he hadn't been offered that plot of land.

That's kinda dumb, how can they know he reached his limit when his skills are unusual. He's just treading on uncharted path. Why didn’t he try to look at his own future
