She is a class representative for the festival and the teacher just dumped the unpleasant task on her.I was referring to the girl who, as her friends said in this chapter, the teacher trusts to not give up on Aya
Yuu was also waiting for the perfect moment (passing exams and entering her school) to confess, but that makes him indecisive, while Hikari bailing out on multiple confessions is somehow resolute.Hikari's problem w/ the confession, as her friends - including Aya! after she knew that Hikari's crush is Yuu - call her out on, is that she's idealistic and looking for the "perfect romantic moment" and that perfect moment keeps getting messed up

Yeah, because she was awed by the look in Yami's eyes. And her thought process in pages 8-10 is that she doesn't want to let it go and while she doesn't want to see Aya she also wants to meet her
When she fails to confess (which means not doing something instead of doing something and not succeeding), she proceeds to fail another time.Yeah actually I think that's exactly the parallel the author wants to set up - when he fails he goes and hooks up with Aya, when she fails she goes and asks him out again.
Yami also deserves to win actually more than hikariIf you still think Yami is a side character, you haven’t been reading. This manga has 3 protagonists. We got Hikari pov, We got Yami pov and I’m guessing to end things off we’ll get Yuu pov where he chooses Hikari.
Like I think it's kind of the point really, instead of bailing or bad-mouthing Aya cause Aya called her an idiot, she spends the chapter enumerating what she finds interesting about Aya and that she dislikes how folks are talking about Aya and how she wants to face Aya head on. Presumably these are the traits of Hikari that make Aya consider Hikari her best friend.Yeah, because she was awed by the look in Yami's eyes.
Setting up another opportunity to succeed when the first one goes awry isn't postponing, it's dealing with the situation constructively. I, and her friends, agree w/ you that she's going about it all wrong, but like she couldn't predict before the fireworks festival that Yuu would confess about the exam, or that during the school festival Aya would kiss him. When she fails to confess (which means not doing something instead of doing something and not succeeding), she proceeds to fail another time.
Absolutely not, Hikari has been shown putting in the work, helping others heal and working towards a goal. Yami just kind of breaks everything around her then cried about it. Like she cut off Yuu in the worst way instead of opening up to him, and then cries like she’s the one who’s getting hurt from it and then later despite Hikari befriending her, and helping ground her to get her life back on track she kisses the boy that she KNOWS her “best friend” is in love with. She makes 0 effort and 0 growth.Yami also deserves to win actually more than hikari
I don't question her good nature, I'm questioning whether this counts as resoluteness. She is obviously a good and compassionate person, but her willing to reach out to Yami another time is a result of her being interested, not of being resolute.Like I think it's kind of the point really, instead of bailing or bad-mouthing Aya cause Aya called her an idiot, she spends the chapter enumerating what she finds interesting about Aya and that she dislikes how folks are talking about Aya and how she wants to face Aya head on. I just think Hikari being indecisive is irrefutable. So it feels very weird to me when you use her as an antithesis to Yuu's indecisiveness. She has many good qualities, but resoluteness is not one of them.Like I assume you're aiming for some gotcha on how Hikari is like Yuu, but the only attempt we ever see him make is the exam while we see Hikari comedically failing at a bunch of attempts.
And you still reading and commenting on it.I mean she still sucks ngl, but honestly already been pushed away from the manga by her, it just felt so giga out of left field and sorta like the beginning of the story was a wasted read, now for me personally at least, I'm already disconnected from the story and only want to see Hikari get a happy ending (preferably without that guy)
Thanks Mister obvious, if you read more than 20% of the text, you even would've learned why 🫡And you still reading and commenting on it.
Why would be so open about being an inferior person?I know I've always been a Yami-senpai simp, but as I was working on this chapter, I was honestly feeling for Hikari... But oh well, I'm still a Yami supporter to the bones
Nah, she and dipshit childhood friend are going out in a suicide pact. She’s already emotionally destroyed this poor boy and she’s barely even a person at this point.Ehem... guys, hear me out
Harem ending
Probably a byproduct of the novel version being written first, and every novel chapter had that kind of line at the end. It's more of a gimmick thing.i feel like theyve been saying the "I, (insert name) (insert whatever is happening)" a bit too often, but maybe its just me
I don't really see why Yuu going to another girl once he fully realizes that he had no chance to be with Hikari is being portrayed as wrong. It was either that or hold onto a crush that would never be return as far as Yuu is concerned. And considering that Hikari has turned down other boys, some of whom, were better than Yuu because, and in her own words, "wasn't interested in romance", and that's not even mentioning the fact that Hikari would help other girls ask out Yuu on dates. It's kind of easy to see why Yuu just decided to go with another girl that return romantic feelings towards him.when he fails he goes and hooks up with Aya
