Waiting for Yami’s simps to come rushing to their goddess’s defense. Come on, guys, it’s about time you face the facts—she’s a terrible person. She’s literally committing crimes in this chapter. How much longer are you going to turn a blind eye to her actions?

Honestly, I have no idea what Maruto is doing with Yami’s character at this point. The more he reveals about her, the harder it becomes to see any redeeming qualities. Maybe that’s the intention—to paint her as irredeemable. But if that’s the case, there’s no way Hikari and Yami’s friendship can survive when the story returns to the canon event.

Thanks for the chapter!
I saw on Twitter even japanese comments criticizing this chap, Maruto went too far in making Yami evil this chap. There's being "Da bad bitch lol you so quirky", and then there is actually participating in a potential crime.

They're still friends in present time.

You really don't know this author.

Damn, we know Yami was bitter as fuck after what happened, but to do this to a girl who was just trying to help her out seems extreme. She seems hellbent in just ruining everything around her. I wonder if this will be one of many reasons why Yami is willing to let Hikari get Yuu. Since after this, Hikari still attempts to help Yami out of her problems.

NGL, it did crossed my mind too that this could happen. Was thinking am I too degen to think that, but wow, it really is, huh?

Not saying Ayami isn't wrong to do this, but that's completely in character for her. But yeah, as many people pointed out, realistically speaking, it'll be hard to salvage this back to them being friends, let alone just friendly (which is certainly what Ayami aimed for).

Kinda wonder how author will go from here and hope its not the trope of Hikari being all forgiving without condition to any horrible thing Ayami pull off until she soften to her... That... will not be the first time in manga history, but will be very disappointing...

Hikari must be Jesus incarnate to forgive Yami after this. Her kissing Yuu is nothing compared to this.
Well... it happens anyway though...
And probably that'd mean her kissing Yuu can be forgiven, then?

Not sure how laws are in japan for something like that, but that's an interesting way to catch yourself a charge where i live
I’m not familiar with Japanese law, so I asked ChatGPT to analyze the chapter and list the crimes Yami committed. Here’s what it came up with:
  • Child Exploitation and Child Pornography:
    • Japan has strict laws against the exploitation of minors. The Child Welfare Act and Act on Regulation of Child Prostitution and Child Pornography prohibit the creation, distribution, and possession of child pornography. If the picture of the underage girl is sexualized or used to promote sexual exploitation, it would fall under these laws.
Penalties: Up to 5 years of imprisonment and/or a fine of up to 5 million yen.
  • Human Trafficking:
    • Human trafficking, including for sexual exploitation, is illegal in Japan under the Act on Punishment of Activities Relating to Child Prostitution and Child Pornography, and the Protection of Children. If the girl is being exploited through a prostitution app, it would constitute trafficking. Japan also has international obligations to prevent human trafficking.
Penalties: Up to 7 years of imprisonment, potentially up to 10 years depending on aggravating factors.
  • Fraud and Deception:
    • Fraud is defined in Japan's Penal Code (specifically Articles 246 and 247) as deliberately deceiving someone to cause them harm or to gain something unjust. Tricking the girl into waiting in a location under false pretenses could be classified as fraud or deception.
Penalties: Up to 10 years of imprisonment and/or a fine, with harsher penalties for exploiting minors.
  • Conspiracy or Facilitation of Prostitution:
    • Facilitation of prostitution is illegal under the Prostitution Prevention Law (also known as the Anti-Prostitution Law). This includes arranging, aiding, or encouraging someone to engage in prostitution. If girl (1) is setting up the situation to exploit girl (2) for prostitution, she could be charged with this crime.
Penalties: Up to 3 years of imprisonment and/or a fine of up to 3 million yen, with potential for up to 5 years if involving minors.
  • Child Endangerment:
    • Child endangerment in Japan can involve putting a child at risk of harm, either physically or mentally. The Child Welfare Act requires the protection of minors from situations that could cause harm or exploitation. The act of tricking the girl into a potentially harmful situation could fall under this law.
Penalties: Up to 5 years of imprisonment and/or a fine of up to 5 million yen.
In summary, the penalties could range from 3 to 7 years in prison for each individual offense, with the possibility of longer sentences for aggravated crimes (such as those involving minors or organized criminal activity). For particularly severe or multiple offenses, the total sentence could be higher. Additionally, the court may impose fines alongside imprisonment.

If the crimes are prosecuted as a combination of offenses (e.g., trafficking, child pornography, and fraud), the sentences could be cumulative, leading to even longer prison terms.

Lol that was the best burn possible for Miss Goodie Two shoes Class Rep. Don't deny it, that was awesome.

It's a Manga. If you're resorting to a Hallucinogenic Unverified AI to write your rant for you, you already lost. Have the Moral Fiber and self-confidence to write your own thoughts instead of an LLM regurgitation. Damn, writing is dead for this generation truly.

Considering that the 2 are friends in present I assume Yami will fix things somehow, otherwise Hikari becoming her friend would be one of the dumbest things ever, still that is a really scummy thing to do, even as a """prank""" it can end terribly bad, and is on the level of dumb stuff youtubers do that could end with they or someone else getting shot.

How did you ask ChaptGPT? Did you just upload the images and asked for it to analyze the crimes committed?
