Due to the recent outbursts of posts popping all-around citing dissatisfaction with the new site updates, it is clear there is a failure in communication between the staff and users. This is rarely seen in the forum regulars, as these users already reside in the forums, they can easily see the newly announced development update threads and read the long full details that Forum Discussions allow.
The issue lies in the fact that the massive majority of users are primarily using only the main site, and are not given any incentive to go to the forums to see the aforementioned announcement threads.
In essence, the [Notice Board] is like a staff-exclusive [New Comments] system on the main site. It provides quick, easy-to-digest information at a click of a button, but currently lacks the whole picture, or documentation of a [Forum Thread/Discussion]. If the the staff-exclusive [New Comments], aka [Notice Board] gets a 1-click easy-access button on the main site, shouldn't certain [Forum Threads] get their 1-click easy-access button on the main as well? cough[Old "Comments"]cough nodnodwinkwink

This to me, look like patch notes, or rather [Comments], that lack the full documentation with all the details that are usually on a different page altogether, some might not need the extra explanation, but the point still stands. Details, when accidentally left out, could result in confusion or outcries. There should be links to the specific [Forum Thread] that explains in more detail about the changes. In this update:
- Commenting across titles and available chapters is now enabled for Group 1 (Dex-chan Supporters) and Group 2 (Data Contributors)
- April's Fools event has been disabled
- Genre pages with not enough data to render properly, like the Mahjong page, now load properly
- A bug in which URLs using old IDs did not redirect to the new IDs has been fixed
This is good, in fact, there are only upsides to this new addition. We've added a new notice board to streamline site updates
This "obscurity of the forums" lies in the fact that there are no clear incentives to even visit the forums from the main site in the first place, there are no links other than the [Forums] button under the [Community] tab on the side... and the [old "comments"] system aka the [Chapter Discussions], which is in the forums, but more on that on a different thread later. If low forum usage is an issue, then there should be more clear incentives to visit the forums.and move them away from the obscurity of the forums.
