@MagicPerson That's because we, like you, enjoy reading comics. There're some good stuff out there that aren't being worked on, like this manga before we picked it up. Since we're doing this out of our own free time, I think we deserve to have a say in what we work on and when we work on it, don't you think? 😉

Some people thought the wolves smell the sweat of the pitcher's (MC) mitt or the ball itself. No, they actually smell the catcher's (Krusche) mitt to sense its location, and thus predict the path the ball would take to reach the mitt.

Krusche actually mentioned a way to counter it (only raising the mitt at the last possible moment to catch) but MC discouraged it since she isn't fast & skilled enough to do so yet. Of course, there's always the "drench yourself in foul stuffs to mess up their hyper sense of smell" method but I doubt they'll ever resort to that.

@zephyroths wasn't said by the fairy before that magic was forbidden in chapter one? Thought I'm sure some team is going to try to use it and the MC is still going to find a way to win

I like how the author uses something simple like enhanced sense of smell to explain how the werewolves are so good instead of stuff like cheating. It makes for good world building .

@vannn same way you smell freshly cooked food across the house. It's just to a much more sensitive level than we humans can muster.

Yeah man, I don't think smell will tell you someone's hand/elbow position even if it's superhuman by our standards. Not sure how you could read a pitch by it's smell lol, at best you get a general direction, but they already know where the pitchers' mound is. Unless smell works on entirely different physics in baseball world I call bullshit. Not enough to drop though, still fun.

@vannn

it's not down do the molecule lol. Just like how you can't hear the exact position of a sound to a certain degree and need to start seeing/feeling your way to the object emitting soudn, wolves can't smell the exact position of the mitt (which is why the mitt shifting trick is a way to fool it).

It's just more information to use. not some omniscent superpower of the entire baseball field.
