probably best not to look at this with a western lens. In America you can get away with this kind of attitude towards the rich kids, but in East asian countries like Japan, South Korea, and China; rigid hierarchies are still prevalent. Granted it's not as bad in Japan as it used to be; South Korea has been taking a lot of Japan's #1s in bad things over the past couple decades; but it's still generally a bad idea to "stick it to the rich kid" lest you risk retaliation from their family. Especially if their family is a more conservative and traditional household.

This whole silly arc could have been skipped if he just went, "lawl nah bruh, you keep you little statues belief, there aren't real rules on who I hang out with/date."

Here the MC straight up refused to acknowledge his challenge and instead of the retarded "oh no he might have a point, am I really worthy of her? He is a better man and could provide for her more than I could" garbage tier cliché we have him just getting pissed like a normal person. MC has literally nothing to loose and he knows it, if anything he just wants the satisfaction of knocking him down a peg or two.

Yeah, I feel there's some charm to it though. Like, he's unapologetically badly written, to the point that he's essentially a parody, and at least the protagonist seems to be somewhat aware that the guy is too much to be a real person.

If anyone is curious as to why math is required learning, it's because math is the language of geniuses. Forcing every kid to at least try and learn it increases the probability of adding another genius to the human race furthering our understanding of the universe.
