I don't think that's the case hereHow much you wanna bet she don't love him
You must be young. This trope/plot device has been around as long as stories have been told.Something must be fucked up in the editing industry or something, but since about 2020, it feels like every romance comedy manga requires at least 1 “second girl”.
Either she’s used as a sacrifice for progress or just an annoying fly to constantly buzz around and get in the way of progress. But it’s just a replacement of a good writing .
No matter how old the trope is, it's dogshit and needs to go. Especially if the main cast already has am established relationship. You must be young. This trope/plot device has been around as long as stories have been told.
I'm old bro, and this has been around for ages. but I mean literally EVERY FUCKING new manga has this. not just in general. Anyone with half a brain can see this is an old trope, I was talking about modern timesYou must be young. This trope/plot device has been around as long as stories have been told.
Off the top of my head, not "My wife is a little scary" or "Divorced crybaby moved in next door" or "broken childhood friend" or "Nagatoro" and probably many, more. However it is a staple of the romcom and romance genres.I'm old bro, and this has been around for ages. but I mean literally EVERY FUCKING new manga has this. not just in general. License to print money. We should start an industry focused on selling balls to the MCs of romance anime
At least from my perspective, it's contrived drama / tension and a replacement for complex writing and unique plot devices. Literally just going "we need to create a conflict to stretch this thing out" "just add a mosquito girl" and then everyone has to go down the extremely tedious and well-trodden path of MC being a useless no-balls coward for like 15 chapters and then some "goddamnit I'm gonna show FL that my feelings really are sincere" for however long it takes,Off the top of my head, not "My wife is a little scary" or "Divorced crybaby moved in next door" or "broken childhood friend" or "Nagatoro" and probably many, more. It doesn't look like this will actually be a serious thing as this manga leans more on the comedy side and is pretty light on the drama.
What exactly bothers you about this trope? Why does it make you so mad?
Thank god this isn't a boring harem manga.I wish this was a harem manga
