Grand prizes for novelists can actually be very hard to achieve. For example Kyoto Animation Awards, which is actually mainly for novelists, only ever has one Grand Prize winner (that was Violet Evergarden).

Can't say anything since idk how valuable the award he won actually was but alright, let's just leave it at that

True that it is really unrealistic scene but since the author had already shown us how loyal FMC is, and this doesn't have a NTR tag, it wasn't a terrible way to show it(altho not seeing eachother AT ALL was dumb)

Dude you do realise that it didn't end but instead got axed, those are 2 completely different stuff. The author atleast made a somewhat decent ending instead of some other series that got axed

Most japanese authors cannot write 3rd acts. It's always some unnecessary/stupid drama...

Also this was definitely axed. I watched and followed the youtube manga (yes in case you didn't know this is a youtube manga) and here they skipped a couple of events. Plus the ending is rushed af and I agree the 5 years timeskip is dumb.

So like, yeah, the whole thing about separating for years in order to "become a worthy man" bullshit is so fucking braindead. I like that part in Nagatoro where the MC has a dream about what would happen if he did that and she's engaged to someone else just cause he sat on his ass, because that is what would actually happen if you tried to pull this kind of shit. You snooze, you lose, dumbass.

Also, I get that the grandfather didn't like his father, that he considered him unworthy of his daughter and such, but clearly he didn't intend to disown the MC, since he offered him to move into the mansion, and he got mad when the MC wanted to move back to his dad, etc. So then why the fuck did he demand that he break up with Aoi? Isn't Aoi EXACTLY the kind of bride the grandfather would want him to marry, since she's the heiress of a huge financial conglomerate? It's like the author just forgot to come up with a reason.
