yeah, disqus section is banned in so many manga sites, but they probably don't care about people commenting about quality even if they did see it

honestly though, i don't really care if utoon picked up a manga title, but it's kind of annoying that they've been occasionally sniping actively translated titles, as far as i know, it's kind of an unspoken rule that a team shouldn't pick up a title unless it got abandoned by the original translator or the original translation is extremely bad

the most annoying aspect of sniping an active title for me especially is that, it sometimes discourage the original translation team and it made some of them quit, i've seen it happen with some titles

Think it’s prolly best to block them (tho I do read their Korean stuff but I don’t think you can pick certain series vs a full block) but it is some mod/bot(?) uploading their series and posting like donation links in the comments as opposed to like sniping one series and like “unlock the next 20 chapters for five dollars on our site” or so but pretty much the only “Korean manhua” site I can think of who doesn’t do paywalls is RizzFables,

but I think at this point I’d think everyone would’ve told the other teams to ignore utoons/saying you prefer theirs and such

Yeah the only reason I don't block them for this stuff is because they're the only group doing some of the Korean series I read. I really wish I could block groups on a series by series basis.

They do things that people pay them for. Also, that "unspoken rule" only existed because of shitheads like Jaimini's Box trying to muscle out all other competition so they could monopolize the series they were working on for increased funding from readers due to their format. It should not be considered a good thing. If you don't like their work on a series, ignore them.

Honestly that immediately took me out of wanting to read this part update. I was so confused why they did that. Still am.

This is unacceptable for me. I expect translator to have respect to the authors and their work. Not to mention the readers who like author's work, not some jokingly unfit edit.

While I'm worry about paywall practice since the 1st page ads, those worries are nothing compared to this. I don't want to play frustration-lottery.
