Yes its the correct translation its more of a context thing as in the food looks delicious so they gulped and said ugh plus there were a different ways you could've interpreted it but the imaging alone should've told you more than enough

I am having trouble imagining "ugh" as a positive sound, only hearing it as being disgusted or perhaps after an exhausted sigh. The image is why I questioned whether that was correct.
