I'll back up your point and remind everyone that only HE knows how old she is in this world. She came from another world and has no record of birth in this real world. Also, in the culture of the other world, where SHE is from mind you, that age is legal. But since he is in a world that resembles the human world we gotta apply ALL the real world logic.

I'll tell you one last thing. He's a better man than me. I was reading this fictional work and starting to lose reasoning too. Why can't people enjoy a work of fiction without dragging me back kicking and screaming into the real world. SIGH.

This story has always been intriguingly odd to me for that reason. It touches on a lot of interesting concepts I'd love an isekai to deconstruct (adjusting to a post isekai world, survivor's guilt, domestic abuse, and now the idea of regeneration after a decapitation), but it's all a backdrop to this odd father-con but not really harem romcom thingy. It's such a weird contrast; it's like the author wanted to make this serious isekai but only an ecchi publisher picked them up.

Heck, as the isekai is based on the Middle Ages I’m surprised they sent a 16yo and not someone younger. It really wasn’t until late into the early modern era that the practice of using women, girls really, as young as 11yo for political arranged marriages stopped.

Tho, the manga’d likely be less marketable if the FMC is a loli.

Morality is part of a character's writing. The mc has a moral compass not to fuck an underaged girl, how is that a bad thing? Though I'm talking out of my ass since the manga is clearly planning to hook them upeventually and all this bravado the mc presents is clearly just for show. We all know he'll fold eventually and the author's trying to make it seem like he just succumbed to her temptations make him seem more like a "good" guy.

It's actually why I dropped reading the wn.

You'll get these interesting ideas that typical isekai doesn't cover and then experience mood whiplash when the next scene you read is...well smut.

I stopped reading the wn after the mc used Rio's selfies as currency with the yakuza boss since at that point, the mood whiplash was too strong and that was actually a very disgusting thing for the MC to do.
