Also, in the culture of the other world, where SHE is from mind you, that age is legal. But since he is in a world that resembles the human world we gotta apply ALL the real world logic.

Heck, as the isekai is based on the Middle Ages I’m surprised they sent a 16yo and not someone younger. It really wasn’t until late into the early modern era that the practice of using women, girls really, as young as 11yo for political arranged marriages stopped.

Sorry but I'm giving out solutions. Literally gave out multiple answers to his "dilemma" yet your dumbass ignored those to focus on literally the worst case solution. Also if you payed attention to the story it's not that she's interested in men period. She's interested only in him. She does not care for other men and only wants to sleep with him. She is giving out clear signs and is basically giving him the okay. The girl herself told him she is his reward and is okay with the role of being the prize. How you can just ignore all that context and not understand why people are annoyed with him is beyond me. Must be that white knighting reddit neckbeard nonsense fueling you.

The reason people are critical of the MC is because she is a girl that has genuine desire for him and only him and is giving him the okay but he pushes her away and gives her retarded reasoning why. It's as simple as saying "I'd love to but you're underage. You have to wait till you're 18 before we can do anything" And then slowly teach her the rules of Japan and modernize her. It's as simple as that. But our MC doesn't even do that. And keeps with the "hurr durr you'll find someone better" bullshit as if another guy can compare to the hero of her world. He's a literal god to her no one else is better for her in her eyes but him.
