The gap between the art from the cover and the manga itself.
The art in the manga is terrible.
i was thinking of reading the novel itself
but the story seems terrible from start. I will wait for few chapters
till I can decide
While I only got to read 1.2 chapters, I am still ready to read the rest unless if it takes a turn that fucks it up hard and becomes slapped together shit like Akira Toriyama’s story during the buu arc.
@KobeisGOAT the group that was translating this seems to be translating the web novel still, so you might want to head over and read that. I don't think anybody is going to pick this up for a while, but one can only hope I'm wrong about that.
Reading the light novel, I think I'd rather have the author write about
Keisuke's journey in that other world, it's much more interesting than the dumb fathercon girls. Sure, it's been done before, but a story about being dehumanized and rediscovering humanity through another only to sacrifice it all in the end sounds like a far better read. I mean, 5 years into the poor guys life in that isekai, he gets his head chopped off while he had regen magic cast on him that caused him to regrow his head from the torso. The first thing he sees after the regen? His own head looking straight at him in the eyes right before it died. That's some brutal stuff.
I feel really bad for the guy sure he beat the devil, but his life was effectively destroyed.
- Separated from his family for almost 20 years
- His girlfriend is dead
- No friends since he was gone during that time and any friends he had in the other world are gone.
- Career & education is a lost hope at that age... given what he has went through.
- Everyone in his world thinks he is a shut in otaku/weirdo
Makes me wonder who's the real evil.... the devil or the priests that used him and toss him away like a piece of trash.
Honestly I would have killed them all. What's left to threaten a man who has NOTHING to lose.
