@Askorti Consider the fact that gunpowder took a thousand years before usable guns came along.
Prior to two hundred years ago, the only advantage to using a gun over just a bow and arrow was that they required less training and thus could be put into more hands. It wasn't until the Industrial Revolution where machinery could easily make tiny intricate parts (that would take a blacksmith weeks to do alone) en mass, that we got any kind of rifling where you might actually be inclined to prefer guns.
I find is amazing that people seem to think making usable guns are easy. Like, lmao wat?
