I certainly would recommend against the WN. not sure on the LN. In the WN, the MC is way more neurotic and paranoid about his secrets being found out and his thoughts exposed, so lots of the chapters are overly verbose about his overthinking. In the manga, it is reduced to being a few panels and the occasional stray thought outside of the bubble. It makes him far more likable.

Yeah, it could get pretty bad, but from what I remember of the LN it's rated r-15 so it cuts out "all the good stuff," or at least cut out all the intimate scenes (not necessarily just sex but even stuff like pillow talk and other suck intimate moments) I remembered from the WN when I decided to reread a few parts in the LN. So it's pick your poison: ubiquitous paranoid schizo internal monologues or a super sanitized version of the story.
