@Goretantath Right, so, you just admitted there are people out there who have trouble distinguishing reality from fiction, right? So in what way is reading acts that condone a completely reprehensible action, even going so far as casting it in a good light, any good for those people or really anyone to read? It helps promote a mindset that it doesn't matter what happens to the other person so long as *I* am satisfied and that's not a good thing to promote or make light of. That's why it is appalling- fetish or not. If it is a fetish, that's also a problem? It means you really want to have sex with someone who doesn't want to- and that's something that a person should probably stop and ask themselves why that's something they're into and maybe go see a therapist or at least take a moment for some introspection.
Constantly engrossing one's self in something they know is absolutely wrong is a way to degrade or erode one's viewpoint on certain matters over time. For some, not all of course, it starts to become something normal and slowly more accepted, perhaps even desired at some point. Some people can distinguish fact from fiction, some can't- and still yet some don't realize they can't anymore or how something has changed their view over time. In my opinion, it's dangerous to normalize things like rape and pretend it's okay even if it's, as you put it, "A FUCKING DRAWING", because of the the mindset that starts to develop in some people or the validation some may feel after reading things like this rape scene. Rape should never be validated, ever. Obviously most people aren't going to read something like this and then go off to rape others, but when it starts to be okay to have things like this around and in media it only promotes certain ideas more and more, especially for those who don't know better or don't care. It's a dangerous mindset to grow and cultivate, that no one else matters other than yourself.
This isn't even going into how traumatizing material like this can be for victims who see things like this being accepted by many others. Part of the point of my statement about how one should probably re-examine how they treat/view others is empathy and consideration for your fellow humans, especially for victims.
What good reason is there to keep things like rape around in media or porn, especially if the tone of the piece is condoning it?
Anyway, one other thing I wanted to pick out of all this is- "if you treat me like shit, that must mean you want to be treated like shit." That's a problematic way of thinking because in reality people often want to treat others like shit but never in return be treated like shit... likewise treating others like shit for giving you shit will only ever keep the circle of shit going forever. I think the better way to look at life is pretty much never get angry, keep your cool, and stand for the things that are important in life- to yourself and others. Try to stay level with people- understand where others are coming from, listen to what they say, speak straightforwardly without slander, and don't insult others (especially when you're trying to make a point). It's pretty hard to do, admittedly, but few things in life are easy.
