If we have a "glam metal" looking dude, I guess we'll have more stereotypes in the future.

70s metal and 80s glam metal? It's hard to say that it was a "fight", since bands like Judas Priest and Scorpions took advantage of that movement to sell like crazy.
Much like late 90s - early 2000s when you had thrash and death bands popping out Nu Metal albums. That shit passes but in hindsight it's always the studios and producers pushing for it.

Oh and the djentification of Metalcore bands in the post Bleed era. That was so sad.

Even if Nu Metal was just a movement to "make money", that doesn't mean it went unnoticed, it was the heaviest genre in the early 2000s, meanwhile bands both commercial and non-commercial were forced to take that route, not to mention the bands that wanted to change their tone a bit to sound like "Alice in Chains" in the mid-90's, for example Judas Priest, Metallica, Kiss and Danzig.

And come on, don't talk about metalcore and djent like that, At The Gates and the early In Flames did a perfect balance between metalcore and melodic death metal in the late 90's. And if they weren't for Meshuggah, bands like post-White Pony Deftones, Gojira, Baroness, Intronaut, The Ocean and Pelican didn't exist.

The nu metal stuff aside, which I'll begrudgingly concede is truth, I'm not going to let your ignorance go when it comes to Pelican, The Ocean and Baroness.

They're Post Metal bands who follow in the vein of Neurosis, Isis, Cult of Luna and many more who'd fully established the sound in the mid 90s a decade before Bleed took the metal world by storm.

Pelicans defining album Australasia coming in 5 years previous. Baroness cited Mastodon's Remission album as their original framework with Mastodon themselves being Neurosis fanboys going as far as calling Scott Kelly to approve of the band's name and featuring him on nearly every album and The Ocean have been writing the same style of Isis worshipping Post Metal since their inception since 2000 with the name of their band being a reference to the Oceanic record.

I may come off arrogant and hostile but this is my bread and butter, the hill that I'd die on and the grounds I worship.

At least didn't call them shoegaze.

I hope you have a good one mate.

Truth is I've got nothing against glam I just love Zimmer's Hole and this came roaring into my head when talking about glam.

The story behind the album title and theme of the album is quite funny, you might enjoy it.
Apparently one of the members saw guys from Venom and Motley Crew arguing over drinks about who was more metal and the guy from Venom said "When you were shouting at the devil, we were in league with Satan" Boom, an album was born.

Zimmer's Hole have some showy glam elements to them and don't take themselves seriously. Deffs worth the listen.

Yes! Good! The way he was getting rid of EVERY obstacles without breaking a sweat or even needing to think was starting to get old.

Also, at first I was a bit iffy on how many characters seems like they come from different manga, each character designs feel almost like completely different art styles… but it’s growing on me… and gosh Lizzy is cute. I’m rooting for her! Q-Q

???
I think you're misunderstanding me. I never implying that those bands played any genre other than Post Metal, you interpreted my post as you wanted. Why do you think I've never heard Neurosis? if you hate Meshuggah post-obZen, it's your problem.

And calm down, this is a manga forum, everyone has their own opinions.

If nothing else I am enjoying all the metal talk ... Although I am a bit crusty being stuck in late 80s - mid 90s with my metal.
