Look, I like DnD as much as the next guy, but all the dice calculation really takes away from the scene. Like, severely, that's why we don't have our characters running around going "I slash the goblin for 1d4 damage"
It's seriously killing world immersion, it takes an urgent situation and makes it into a game. Like, "Oh, I'm injured and dying, better whip out ma dice to calculate the boosts I'll need"
It's just a criticism. Without all the explanations and calculations it'd be way less intrusive
