Well tbf even if Ginko did fight Soul straight away, I doubt she would've been able to stop him releasing his army anyway, so either way they'd end up in the same position, the only difference being that the soldiers (who are combatants) would've been less beat up.

I'm pretty sure she (probably) would step in if civilians are involved she's done it before after all. But in that situation it was between soldiers and the demon with no civilians. Not quite sure how her code extends to preventative protection tho.

Also someone remind me but isn't her code is fight honorably then die in the battle field? Oh and don't get civilians involved unless they involved themselves.

Yes, I understand thats her code. I am saying that hope the story goes on to CHALLENGE this code. She is allowing this situation to grow more dangerous than it should because of her code.

I like Ginko, I recognize her sincerity in her way of life... but I don't approve of everything she believes, so I think it would be an interesting idea.

Shapeshifting is always one of those things that's fun to see when it's pulled off well. Like, that first page where Soul is just a shadow without something to cast it, the transformation of specific body parts... it rules.

The artist really managed to sell it.

Edit: ...I wonder if Ginko's gonna take advantage of how she's seen Soul fight the soldiers to beat him, and that's gonna be a whole thing about how the 'honor' of a samurai is also a form of pragmatism under a different light.
