Dude spent the entire series counseling others, but he can’t introspect his way out of a paper bag, and so far no one is willing to save his ass.

It’s not a bad story or an inane progression, but this whole arc is awkwardly paced and isn’t doing us readers any favors. We’re so used to the lack of subtlety that these pages of silent soul searching, wishful thinking, and reverting to willful ignorance is jarring and aggravating. Don’t only just now start developing character.

Looks like Hiromi's starting to wake up. But what made him realize something ain't right? Was it how she kept throwing her desires on him? :pepehmm:
I imagine it's the mention of how his parents were considerate of each other and understood each others mood and feelings. This girl is not considering his feelings at all. "Hey you wanted to get married, right?? Hey, let's go on a vacation on your next day off! Hey, you're not tired, lets bang ok?" Hiromi is so caught up in this whirlwind that he can't keep up with her at all.

But he's also too smart and mature now (as opposed to the beginning of the manga) to be led on for too long.

He's gonna get a moment of introspection, dump her and move back into the sharehouse. We'll get a volume or two of fun shenanigans, then she's gonna come back around pregnant claiming it's his and we'll have to do this whole song and dance again until one of the girls forces a paternity test on him/makes him realize the timeline doesn't add up.

This manga took a honestly weird and unexpected turn

I'd love it if it just ended with him marrying the girl and abruptly ending the story there, that'd be fucking hilarious

He's falling hook line and sinker for this baby trap isn't he? She got knocked up by someone else who dumped her and now she's speedrunning sex and marriage to try and lock him in before the dates get too far off from one another.

This manga's entire point is trying to marry liberal feminist principles and the sharehouse harem genre. To that end, I think it makes more sense for the MC to dump her because she's trying to make him into a 1950s housewife than to have yet another baby trap plot.
