Like others said before, his revenge target is mentally long gone. This is someone else now that he is abusing.
This would be true from rehabilitation (even if rather twisted one) standpoint - abuse her to the point where she's genuinely sorry and truly changed inside, with her abuse not being a punishment for punishment's sake, but a means to rehabilitate her.

From revenge standpoint, change in her doesn't matter at all (ofc depending on the individual could also lead to either mercy, or even making the act of revenge more enjoyable) - your goal is to inflict harm on the target as a punishment, usually equal or higher in some value to the act you are taking revenge for.

Think jailing alcoholic for DUI and killing someone, where the goal is to get him back into society, vs finally catching him 30 years later and straight up killing him (life for life), even if he stopped drinking 30 years ago because of the shock from killing someone.

Why is she being hopepilled. That’s not suppose to happen! She’s suppose to be broken! D:<

I mean someone with the mentality of "I love you, so it's fine if you hurt me..." isn't necessarily the best. well not that she's said love but there is the romance tag.

Honestly after reading the other version she deserved it she was evil
:| And when does it stop, exactly? Gouge her eyes out? Start chopping her limbs off? Burn her at the stake? Sell her to pedophiles to get gang raped? Like, come on man. HIs 'revenge' was over a while ago. What she did was definitely fucked up, but there has to be a sense of scale in how much 'retribution' someone is owed. If we're looking to what she did in the nsfw version, then looking to what HE did in the nsfw version is just as valid. His 'revenge' has been paid in full, if not more.
